Soybean particles cause recent death in Pakistan

As the soybean dust released from the port of kiamari caused death to 14 residence of kiamari
people near this area were also got influenced. According to down news (fed 23 2020) over 400
people were taken away to the hospitals of Karachi and they found soybean particles in their
body. Residents had respiratory problems such as burning sensation in the nose, watery eyes
and itching in the throat.

According to the geo news these soybeans were harvested at a farm near Balcarce Argentina
June 17, 2016 and imported in Pakistan on 2020 during the unloading process this gas has
leaked and its harmful particles mixed up in the air and caused us this heavy loss. According to
the ARAB news preliminary report was submitted to the Karachi university investigation facility
which confirmed that Kiamari incident happened because of the over exposure of the soybean
particles. Moreover, Murtaza Wahab who is the spokesperson of the Sindh government
tweeted late Tuesday in which he said that soybean was in a shipment harbored at Karachi port
and the report on this issue was sent to Karachi commissioner from international center for
chemical and biological sciences ( ICCBS ) which also confirmed that the particles which was
founded in the bodies are of soybean dust.

Also, according to the “Radio Free Europe” soybean dust is the reason behind the recent
deaths in Pakistan they mention that although gas was may not a toxic gas but it does likely to
be responsible for the deaths occurred in Pakistan. Muhammad Umer Faran who is the
spokesperson of Ministry of Maritime Affairs highly suspects and blamed soybean and he
mention the same thing that it was happened when the container was unloading from the ship
and the senior health official in Sindh province Mr. Zafar Mahdi also said that soybean dust was
found in blood samples which was collected from the people who died after the suspected gas
leak in kiamari area. The Authorities first of the view that it was happened due to some toxic
gas others were telling that there is some sort of damage to a nuclear reactor but Mahdi made
it clear that behinds all this Mystery is was soybean to blame because it was pretty clear that
when the soybean unloaded at the city port on February 16 it all started happening
furthermore Seemin Jamali who is a doctor at Jinnah hospital informed that soybean dust can
cause a severe allergic reaction and cause death for people with lung infection.
Hence it is true that soybean is the reason behind all these recent death in Pakistan in fact this
harmful dust has caused much more greater trouble for all the Karachi Residence as many
suffered from it many died, many lost their family members and also several dozen resident
protested that the authorities are not taking any initiative to overcome it .

paraphrased Argument: -
Nowadays online learning is seeming to be more convenient as much of the resources are
changed in to dematerialized form. As people found it easier to read e-book than printed one
so they are of the view that public libraries should be closed.

Supporters of this view think and believe that it will save money and motivate people to read
because of its convenience.

Yet it can be a serious problem using tablets instead of libraries. “A study done on tablet vs
book reading found that people read 20-30% slower on tablets, retain 20% less information and
understand 10% less than those who read same information in printed form”. Moreover,
looking too much at the screen can cause many health issues but reading print doesn’t cause
much health issues as compared to reading e-book. People who use digital devices more
frequently may become the victim of severe health issues. So, we must not give more reasons
to the people for looking towards the screen by including the book in it.
And it is not fair if we think that libraries are for only lending books infect it provides more than
that it gives us certain benefits which can’t be received from tablets. A few surveys were
conducted in 2015 according to which two third of people of USA think that there would be the
negative effect on their society if they close the local library. Many folks defined library as the
source of connectivity and answers to their questions.

However, it may look like a simple solution to use tablets instead of library but it has risk of
health issues and spoiling the youth besides it can never provide the benefits like library does
so libraries are unreplaceable.
