WARNINGS
FIRE HAZARD!
To prevent fire, do not use
the energy storage unit
near ignition sources or
flammable substances. Do
not cover.
If smoke appears,
immediately turn off the
system! If possible
seperate the energy
storage unit from the
inverter.
SHOCK AND SHORT
CIRCUIT HAZARD!
Use only supplied
connection terminals. Check
the cable for defects. If
damaged, they must be
replaced.
Never insert anything into the
energy storage unit!
Do not open the housing of
the energy storage unit!
Never connect the positive
pole and the negative pole
directly with each other or by
another object!

Battery System Manual
Use the product only if connected with
the appropriate inverter as installed by a
qualified technican.
> Regularly check the module connection
cables to ensure that they are free of
cracks.
> Make sure that the unit is not laying
on the cable
> Ensure that cable does not come in
contact with water or sharp edges and
that the cables are not pinched.
> Do not clean the energy storage unit with
water. Use a dry cloth instead.
> Use the energy storage only when the
ambient temperature is between 32°F to
113°F (0°C to +45°C) and in a well-
ventilated, damp-free and dust-free
environment.

Initial Installation
Connecting the Energy Storage Unit
1. STEP ONE:
Connect the two cable of the Sonnen-
schein@home Lithium. Connect ac-
cording to the Inverter manufacturer's
instructions (eg: SMA Sunny Island).
2. Red = Positive Terminal
3. BLACK = Negative
2. STEP TWO:
Connect the patch cable (RJ45)
supplied by the inverter mfg. to the
CAN connector position on the
storage unit (eg. SMA Sunny Island
Inverter)
3. STEP THREE:
Place the termination connector to the
socket labeled "Internal" patch (intern).
If installing multiple units, place this
connector in the last unit.
4. STEP FOUR:
Use NH1 fuses, according to the
permissible loading currents of the
inverter (eg. SMA Sunny Island)
and close fuse isolators.
Recommended Fuses;
SI3.0M-11: 80A
SI4.4M-11: 100A
SI6.0H-11: 160A
SI8.0H-11: 200A

before the energy storage unit is connected
to the system. Clean housing parts with a
clean, dry cloth.
> Excessively high temperatures within the
energy storage unit are cooled by a built-in
fan that is automatically activated.
> A constant red LED on the energy sto-
rage unit indicates the device needs to be
serviced.

Disposal
Battery (energy storage unit) may not be
disposed of with household waste. The
energy storage unit must be disposed at a
certified recycling facility or return to your
dealer.
