Most Essential Learning Competency: Explains road safety practices as a


pedestrian.

I. Objectives
At the end of a 50-minute lesson, the students are expected to:
a. define the at least two (2) road safety practices for pedestrians,
b. demonstrate a 2-3 road safety practices for pedestrian by means of role
playing, and
c. write a short reflection about the importance of knowing road safety
practices as a pedestrian.

 Safety rules- procedures intended to lower the occurrence or risk of
injury, loss and danger to persons, property or the environment.
 Road safety practices- actions taken to minimize the risk of injury and
death to road traffic.
 Pedestrian- A person who is walking.
 Traffic light- a visual signal (such as a system of colored lights) for
controlling traffic.

instructions to drivers
and other road users.
