Sub: Ordinary Elections to M PTCS and ZPTCs - Model Code of Conduct -

ClariFication sought for conduct of statutory Gram Sabhas in Gram
Panchayats to be held as per A.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 on
14.04.2021 - Reg.
Ref : Letter No. 307/CPR&RD/D U 202L, dtd. t2.04.2021 of the Comm issioner
of Panchayat Raj & Rural Development.

With reference to the above, I am to state that the polling for MPTCs and
ZPTCS was completed on 08.04.2021 and the counting of votes and declaration of
results was not taken up complying with the orders of the Hon'ble High Court in
W.A.No. 224 of 202t.

It is clarified that the statutory Gram Sabhas, which are to be held as per A.P.
Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 on 14th of April (14.04.2021), may be conducted in Gram
Panchayats. In such Gram Sabhas, status of programmes / activities implemented in
the previous flnancial year (physical and financial progress), report on evaluation /
social audit conducted, if any, can be discussed. However, no new schemes or
developmental programmes shall be announced.
