Assoc Prof Dr Anasuya Jegathevi Jegathesan

Assoc Prof Dr Anasuya is currently the Program Director for


Psychology at Taylors University, School of Liberal Arts and
Sciences. She is a licensed counsellor and has been in practicing
in Malaysia for 10 years. She is also a certified trainer in Reality
Therapy, a Thanatologist and sits on the National Advisory
Council for Counselling between 2017-2018.

Previously, she served as the Academic Head of the Masters in


Counselling program for HELP University. She was also a board
member of numerous NGOs and is experienced in conducting
workshops internationally. Her area of specialisation includes
therapeutic models, insight based therapy, adolescents, grief and
multicultural counselling.

Dr Anasuya has co-edited a book on Multicultural Counselling:


application of Improved Mental Health Services as well as
developed therapy cards to be used in sessions. She does a
continuous series of “Eyes On Children” sessions which
champions safety of children and teenagers in Cyberspace.

In areas of research, Dr Anasuya has published papers on Reality


Therapy and Multicultural issues. She won the 2007 Merdeka
Patrons Award for outstanding scholastic achievement from the
Malaysian-South Australian Business Council and the 2007 Award
for Professional Excellence from the Australian First Nations
Academy for conducting positive research on minority issues.
Her research areas are intercultural interaction, spiritual
counselling, death and grief, adolescence and ethical issues in
counselling.
Dr Indrani Thiruselvam
PhD, Clinical Psychology,
Marquette University, USA
Post-doctoral Fellowship, Clinical Neuropsychology,
West Virginia University School of Medicine, USA

Dr Indrani Thiruselvam joined Taylor’s University as a Senior Lecturer in


2017. Her areas of expertise are in clinical psychology and
neuropsychology. A keen researcher, she has presented her findings
in over 20 local, national, and international conferences and published
several papers in indexed journals throughout her academic career.
Her research interests include brain-behavior relationships and
psychometrics.

Dr Indrani is also Vice President of the Society of Neuropsychology


(Malaysia), a member of the Malaysian Society of Clinical
Psychology, and a licensed psychologist in the USA. She is
experienced in helping individuals with a diverse range of clinical
presentations, including dementia, brain tumor, epilepsy, stroke,
anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression,
among others.

Dr Lee Soon Li
PhD, Medicine and Health Sciences,
Monash University, Malaysia

Dr Lee Soon Li is a psychologist specialising in


human-technology interaction. His research interests include
the effect of problematic media usage on users’ psychological
well-being, the influence of personality traits on media usage,
and psychometrics.

Dr Lee Soon Li has published his research articles in indexed


journals, and he is currently a reviewer for a top journal.

Chew Siew Wei


Master of Education (Educational Psychology),
University Putra Malaysia (UPM)

Chew Siew Wei joined Taylor’s University in August 2015,


teaching Psychology related subjects for the Bachelor Degree,
Foundation and Diploma programs.

Her research interests include Locus of Control, Defense


Mechanism, and Reinforcement and Punishment of human
development.
Pang Chia Yee
Major in Psychology; Minor in Philosophy
Master of Counselling Psychology University of Nottingham,
United Kingdom

Pang Chia Yee is currently the Acting Programme Director for


Foundation in Arts, Taylor's University. She is passionate in
the field of Psychology and Philosophy. Her areas of research
interest include sex, gender, sexuality, media representation
of sex, personal development and counselling.

She was a member of British Association for Counselling and


Psychotherapy (no. 725160).

Pang Chia Yee appeared on NTV7 - Father’s Day specials - as an


expert to talk about men’s aggression and pornography. She
was also guest speaker on radio talks. She has conducted
various workshops such as introduction to the psychology
world, personal development and sex education.

Rajalakshmi Ganesan
Master in Education (Educational Psychology),
University Putra Malaysia

Rajalakshmi Ganesan is a dedicated professional with over 8


years of experience in the education industry. Her field of
expertise include Positive psychology, Educational psychology
and Child psychology. Rajalakshmi Ganesan also has a keen
interest in research.

She has supervised research projects, participated in research


projects and has published in indexed journal. Ingenious ideas
and a passion to educate coupled with her expertise in
psychology enables her to be efficacious and effectual
educator, empowering young minds.

In order to qualify for the SHINE Award, students must


participate in the SHINE Programme. Based on the points

Innovation Problem Solving Adaptation Silver ranking in their SHINE Award.

Introduced in 2018, the Taylor’s Curriculum Framework is the first-of-its-kind framework in Malaysia, which enables
