Tender Stage:
Selection of tendering contractors – can be open tendering, selective tendering or
single contractor selection. Assessing a suitable tender period based on the complexity of the project, size of the project, time of the year and market conditions. Producing and compiling tender documents – design information, bill of quantities, schedules of works, schedule of rates and preliminaries. Issuing the tenders. Respond to tender queries during tender process, consider tender addenda (if any), perform mid term interviews especially for complex projects, consider tender withdrawals, etc. Receiving tenders, reviewing tenders to check for errors conflicts, raising tender queries and conflicts in information. Perform post-tender interviews. Create a checklist of further items to review. Following a full analysis and tender interview, a tender report should be produced to notify tenderers.
