A. Learning Targets
1. To be able to define what an angle, position and direction is, and identify the right angles inside
the polygon,
2. To be able to follow directions to move on a grid using words such as: up, down, across, left and
right,
3. To be able to participate attentively in class.

1. Show some examples of a route and students will share different ways.
2. Going to the tree;
- Students will describe how you can get to the tree.
3. Going to the school;
- Students will describe how Dennis can go to the school.
- Etc.
4. Students will find out many different routes to get from start to finish using the
words ‘forward’ , ‘ backwards’ , ‘clockwise’ and ‘quarter turn’.
E. Evaluation:
- Ask the students to answer book activity on page 44 and 45.
- Ask the student to complete the table to describe the route from start to finish.
- Ask the students to tick all the right angles inside the polygon and place the angles in order
of size.
