    Passive voice
    Se utiliza cuando se desea poner énfasis en la persona/cosa que es el objeto de la acción, más que
    en la persona/cosa que realiza dicha acción.

    ACTIVE VOICE PASSIVE VOICE

    Edison invented the light bulb. The light bulb was invented by Edison.

    *Se enfoca en la persona *Se enfoca en el objeto que recibe


    que realiza la acción. la acción.

    *Verbo principal SIEMPRE debe ir acompañado por la forma correcta del verb “to be”.
    *Verbo principal SIEMPRE debe ir en past participle.
    *Si queremos agregar quién realiza la acción ocupamos “by” al final de la oración.

    Passive voice: present simple

    S + VERB TO BE (AM, IS, ARE) + PAST PARTICIPLE


    Light bulbs are used in every country.

    Passive voice: past simple


    S + VERB TO BE (WAS/WERE) + PAST PARTICIPLE
    The light bulb was invented by Edison.

    Passive voice: will

    S + WILL BE + PAST PARTICIPLE


    Common light bulbs will be replaced by LED light bulbs.
