FILE BASE SYSTEM
Data inconsistency:
Has high data inconsistency
 Data inconsistency occurs when similar data is
kept in different formats in more than one
file. When this happens, it is important to match
the data between files. Sometimes, files duplicate
some data.
File redundancy:
Each data may have more than a single
copy. The file system cannot control redundancy
of data as each user defines and maintains the
needed files for a specific application to run.
Data sharing:
Data sharing is hard in file base system
Security:
File base is nor very secure.
Recovery process:
In file base system we cannot recover our data
and even there is no backup.
DATABASE SYSTEM
Data consistency:
Maintains data consistency
Locks can ensure that data remains consistent
even when multiple users try to access the same
data at the same time
Data redundancy:
Data redundancy in database means
that some data fields are repeated in the
database. This data repetition may occur either if
a field is repeated in two or more tables or
if the field is repeated within the table.
Data sharing:
Data sharing is easy in data base system.
Security:
Data base system is more secure than file base
system.
Recovery process:
In database system we can recover our data.
