Aim: To implement anti-logarithmic amplifier using: (a). Diode, and (b). Transistor

Theory: AntiLog amplifier or anti–logarithmic amplifier is an electronic circuit that

produces output that is proportional to the anti-logarithm of the applied input. Basically it
performs mathematical operation of an anti-logarithm. In this article, we will see the different
antilog amplifier circuits, its working and antilog amplifier applications. Basically two circuits
are there to perform the anti-logarithmic function. First, using diode and op-amp and second,
using BJT and op-amp.
An op-amp based anti-logarithmic amplifier produces a voltage at the output, which is
proportional to the anti-logarithm of the voltage that is applied to the diode connected to its
inverting terminal.

Conclusion: Hence we have designed and implemented an ani-logarithmic amplifier using

both diode and transistor. The graph of output voltage vs input voltage comes out to be
antilogarithmic in nature i.e. the amplifier output is anti-logarithmic, which is what we
required.
