TASK Adapted Activities from original textbooks, T elaborates handout 1,2 and 3 Ss. Discuss in
their group and give their opinions and recommendations of eating healthy by using the
picture of the pyramid and category food.

Topic: Healthy food

Target grammar item: Modal Verb Should and Should not, vocabulary (healthy,
vitamins, fats, proteins).

Lesson objective
By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to give recommendations about
healthy food by using the new vocabulary.

Stage Time Activity

 T. starts the class showing pictures


Warmer about food to introduce new vocabulary
and engage students with the topic.
5 min.  Then Teacher asks students
questions:
What is your favorite food?
How healthy are they?
Next teacher uses the students´ examples to
introduce the lesson with examples in a correct
way.
 Teacher divides the class in groups
Presentation of 4 teacher provides a worksheet for
each group to involve students with the

 Then teacher plays a video called


“Pyramid Healthy Food” After watch the
video the students filling the (handout 2)
 Teacher gives the instruction to
complete sentences in the worksheet.
 Students watch again the video and check the
correct answers with the T.

a.) INPUT.- I did it to catch my students’ attention by using materials such as
video, hand out, multi media, pictures, blackboard, etc. I chose the title
“healthy food” in order to motivate them in the importance to eat healthy.

b.) CONTENT FOCUS.-

Step 1 My students use the language presented on the input to practice


some strategies to learn new vocabulary by using the words, vitamins, fats,
proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, nitrate, caffeine.
Step 2 And so on, students repeat the vocabulary taught to memorize and
pronounce in the correct order.

c.) LANGUAGE FOCUS


I prepared a language focus based on practice in some of language
elements needed for the tasks to give students and appropriate language in
their area.
Step 1 Teacher makes concentrate students in the needed language.
Step 2 As so on teacher makes students to communicate between them
focus on the language.
d.) TASK.- By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to give
recommendations about healthy food by using the new vocabulary. Besides,
they will be able to communicate between them and they will resolve
problems in context.
