Dear Ma’am/Sir,

Greetings of peace and gratitude!

The Language and Literature Society of the College of Education is a society of students who are
taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education with Specialization in English.

The Language and Literature Society is spearheading the 2018 English Month Celebration with
the theme “Engaging Challenges through Speech, Reading and Writing in Healthy Competition.”

November was officially designated as the National Reading Month by then-Education Secretary
Armin Luistro through Memorandum #244 which he signed last 2011. Along with the National Reading
Month, we also celebrate the National English Month.

In line with this, we are requesting participants/representatives from your respective

departments. The various activities that are listed below for students aim to promote collaboration
among their peers while showcasing their talents and language skills.
