We believe that Chevening will not only

During your year in the UK, you'll be
exposed to a range of exclusive events,
networking opportunities, and trips across
the UK. Previous scholars have visited 10
Downing Street, hiked up Mount Snowdon,
exhibited art in London galleries, interned
at the BBC, volunteered with the elderly,
debated at the Cambridge Union, and sat
in the home dressing room at Anfield.
All this, whilst studying on an intense
master's course.
You will learn about your subject matter,
and about the UK, but - most of all - you
will learn about yourself.
We hope that this challenging but
enriching year studying in the UK will
inspire new ideas within you, empowering
you to return home and bring your ideas
to life.

Chevening is the UK government’s global
scholarships programme that offers future

Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth
Office (FCO) and partner organistations

to pursue one-year master’s degrees in
any subject at any UK university.

AM I ELIGIBLE?
In order to submit an eligible
Chevening Scholarship application,
you must:
• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible
country or territory, and agree
to return there for a minimum of
two years after completing your
scholarship
• Have completed an undergraduate
degree that will enable you to
gain entry to a postgraduate
programme at a UK university
• Have at least two years’ work
experience
• Not have previously studied in the
UK through a UK Government-
funded scholarship

Name two referees for your application

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
All candidates are informed of the
status of their applications. The
strongest candidates are interviewed.
Interviewed candidates are notified of
whether they have been conditionally
selected, are on a reserve list, or are not
being progressed.
Selected and reserve candidates
must have received an unconditional
offer for at least one of their three
master’s course choices and must have
met Chevening’s English language
requirement to remain eligible.
Successful applicants commence
their studies in the UK as Chevening
Scholars.
