Objectives:
 Identify characteristics of good and poor digital citizenship choices

Exploration
Read the following scenarios to the class and have them identify good digital citizenship
choices as well as poor choices.

1. Randy and Carlos have been paired to complete a research and presentation
project as a team. Randy and Carlos have split up the work between
themselves. Randy is charge researching the information and Carlos is
responsible for creating the presentation. Randy has cited all of his resources in
his research. Carlos has used images from various websites, which he did not
pay for and did not cite as sources in the presentation.

 Which person is has demonstrated good digital citizenship choices?

2. Peter has seen some of his friends participating in using social media to bully a
classmate. Peter has not joined in, but he has not alerted his parents or any
school officials.

your choice.

3. Nicole is very careful with her personal information online. She uses passwords
that would be very difficult to guess, she only accesses her financial accounts on
secure networks, she uses anti-virus software on her devices, and she does not
open suspicious emails.
