HAVE GOT
Use ‘have got’ to talk about possessions.
(“have got” sahiplik bildirmek için kullanılır.)

EXAMPLES:

They have got an expensive car.

(Onların pahalı bir arabaları var.)

Jane has got a golden watch.

(Jane’nin altın saati var.)

The woman has got a big house.

Affirmative Sentence Structure (Olumlu Cümle yapısı):

EXAMPLES:
❖ I have got/ I’ve got a new MP3 player. (Benim yeni bir müzik çalarım
var.)
❖ She has got/ She’s got a computer. (Onun bir bilgisayarı var.)
❖ He has got/ He’s got a flat in Antalya. (Onun Antalya’da bir dairesi

Negative Sentence Structure (Olumsuz Cümle yapısı):

EXAMPLES:
❖ We haven’t got a mobile phone. (Bizim cep telefonumuz yok.)
❖ Jane hasn’t got a leather jacket. (Jane’nin deri ceketi yok.)
❖ She hasn’t got a bag. (Onun çantası yok.)
❖ They haven’t got a house. (Onların evi yok.)

EXAMPLES:
❖ Has she got a cat? (Onun kedisi var mı?)

No, she hasn’t./ No, she hasn’t got a cat. (Hayır, onun bir kedisi yok.)
Not: Kısa cevaplarda kısaltma yapılmaz.

POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES (İYELİK SIFATLARI)

Possessive adjectives show possession. Use possessive adjectives before

nouns. (İyelik sıfatları aitlik bildirir. İyelik sıfatları isimlerden önce
kullanılır.)
➢ Use my, your, his, her…. + noun

This is his car.

That is my pencil.
It is her cat.

➢ NOTE: «its» and «it’s» are different.

its Where is the cat? Its toys are everywhere.
it’s (= it is) I like my cat. It’s a beautiful cat.
