The student wrote a letter of complaint about her experience at the North Woods Multiplex Cinema. She and her friends, all between ages 15-17, had seen a movie and were waiting in the lobby to be picked up when it was raining heavily outside. An employee of the cinema then threatened to call the police, which the student felt was rude and unnecessary treatment. She asks the cinema for free tickets for the next month to make up for the "teenage discrimination", or else she will take her complaint to the local police station.

A letter of complaint Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to complain about an unpleasant experience at the North Woods Multiplex Cinema last Saturday. I believe that this measure to threaten us with a call to the police was not only rude but was also unnecessary. Last Saturday I was at the North woods Multiplex Cinema with my friends aged between 15 and 17. we had gone to see the latest Johnny Depp film which had begun at 3.45 pm. After the film we were supposed to wait in the lobby for my fiend’s mother to pick us. The reasons to wait inside were two. Firstly, it was really cold and pouring down with rain that day and secondly that was the first time we had ever been to that cinema because we live on the other side of town. My main complaint concerns the behaviour of your employees. I am very disappointed with the treatment we have received. In conclusion, I should like to draw your attention to the fact that this is an example of teenage discrimination. I expect you to give us free tickets for the next month. If I do not hear from you in the next 14 days, I shall be forced to consider my complaint to the police station. I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Yours faithfully, Vyara Angelova 185 words
