AGREEMENT OR IDEOLOGY?

As we know, Pancasila is known as the Ideology of Indonesia. But from Rocky

Gerung’s speech, Pancasila is not an ideology but an agreement between the public.
Ideology is something powerful and leads the way the public thinks, it will implement
in every aspect of the nation itself.

Pancasila has 5 points that lead the way the government makes the
constitution of Indonesia. The basic rule of the constitution is based on Pancasila.
But still can’t be said as an ideology. From the Cambridge Dictionary, ideology is a
set of beliefs or principles, especially one on which a political system, party, or
organization is based.

So if the nation really believes Pancasila as an ideology, that means every

human in the nation will have the same beliefs that implemented in their daily life.
Pancasila itself hasn’t really implemented in every human in Indonesia, some of
them whom lack of education still don’t know what is Pancasila and how to
implemented it.

Pancasila is an agreement from the founder of Indonesia that has been

implemented in the constitution and the way Indonesia is developing right now.
Pancasila also takes action in some of the public’s daily life. It can be the ideology,
but also need the works of every people to implement and has the believe in
Pancasila.

According to the yellow book, whatever the agreement of the pro-amendment

and contra amendment parties is, if all of their wishes cannot be achieved, this
nation should not be torn down.
