INTRODUCTION

• Net zero building, is a building with

zero net energy consumption, meaning
the total amount of energy used by the
building on an annual basis is roughly
equal to the amount of renewable
energy created on the site.
• The wording “Net” emphasizes the
energy exchange between the building
and the energy infrastructure.
INDIAN CLUTURE OF ZERO ENERGY BUILDING

• Indian buildings are silent energy guzzlers. They account for 35% of
India’s overall power consumption and generate a significant amount
of greenhouse gases.
• The next decade is expected to witness massive volumes of building
construction, which will further escalate energy consumption.
PARAMETERS TO ACHIEVE NET ZERO
ENERGY BUILDINGS
• Windows
• Shading System
• Water heating
• Ventilation
• Solar PV

• Reduced requirement for energy austerity.
• Reduced total net monthly cost of living.
CONULICION
• Net Zero Energy Buildings (NZEBs) - 100% energy-efficient,
sustainable buildings - can be a game changer, not only for India’s
building sector, but also for the energy sector.
• The zero-energy building concept has been a progressive evaluation
from other low energy building designs.
• The next generation expected to see massive volume of building
construction and this will result in more power consumption.
