Lesson Reflection 2

The lesson standards are to understand the hard th and sort th. For differentiation, I have put two
different activities for each group so they can choose what they want to do. For the special needs,
I have explained for them what they didn’t understand. I have used positive reinforcement by
Class Dojo points and words of encouragement like well done, wonderful job, excellent. I used
this for how have done their work correctly and on time. I start with the lesson by teaching them
then ask questions to see their understanding after that I give them the activities and let them
choose what they want to do from the activities.

The lesson was online session in teams and the lesson was 30 minutes. The students need to
know and be familiar with letters sound and how to write the letters on the right way. Next the
students will be able to write words with soft and hard th. The students were prepared by looking
for pictures that have th.

The lesson for grad 1 students from Al Ataa school. The lesson was in Teams. My achieve goal
in the lesson was by the end of the lesson 90% of the students will be able to say the sound of
hard th-words, write soft th-words and hard th-words. I have provided pictures and videos to help
the students to achieve my aims.

The students were excited, always occupied, and remained on task during the lesson and if they
have questions they ask me then they complete their task. The students responded the way that
they did because they are excited that they have new teacher and the lesson was interesting. The
students have a prior understanding about the sound of the letter and how to write the letter.
The students have a good experience of online learning and almost all of the students know how
to find and open their tasks. The lesson meets my teaching goals by the end of the lesson 90% of
the students will be able to say the sound of hard th-words, write soft th-words and hard th-
words. At the end of the lesson I asked the students about their understanding of the lesson 1 I
need help, 2 I’m getting there, 3 I can do this!

I enhance students learning of this lesson in the future by giving them more examples and show
them different videos and pictures. I need to look after each student work to see their
understanding and how did they complete their work. For example, I told the students when they
finish from writing activity send for me picture of their writing on the chat so I can check for
them their writing.
