Keeping the yellow cloud rolling

You were there on Feb 8th, you felt the
excitement, pride and warmth that filled
that giant conference space downtown. Host
attendance has been steadily increasing since
year one, this year we had 35 in attendance!
so what about the other 35ish that weren’t
there, or the 15ish Kudoers that missed
out? how do we package all of that delight,
excitement and reciprocity and deliver it to
the rest of our Hosts and Kudoers?
Last year we took Growth Bash on the road
and visited folks who weren’t at Growth Bash.
We (literally) rolled out a red carpet, popped
a bottle of sparkling grape juice on the porch,
blew party horns and awarded their badges
right on the doorstep! We are planning
on doing this again for a few Hosts and
Kudoers. Reaching out in person, invigorates
host engagement in such a delightful and
unexpected way, reminding hosts how
valuable they are to the ongoing succes of
Kudoz.
For those that badges that don’t get delivered
in person, the badges are going to be mailed
out in small packages with funfetti and a
card expressing that they were missed at the
party!

Andie and Mat met up with 6Pack Indoor
beach recently, they are interested in
raising their public profile but also in upping
inclusivity in their business. Two of their
staff are going to be signing up as hosts to
share experiences about indoor beach sport,
volleyball and archery tag, but also are
interested in inviting Kudoers on a behind the

The pieces fall into place
At Growth Bash, Jeeah “felt confident even
though it was my first time because I knew it
was about celebrating me.” Her favourite part
was receiving her Self-Challenger badge. She
knew she earned it: “I’ve been challenging
myself and pushing myself to do new things,
like actually getting there by transportation.”
She’s proud to look back and “see the range of
things I’ve done. I’ve done French, Carpentry,
Archaeology and Meditation too. I never
thought I’d do these things.”
Jeeah was pleased to see familiar faces
cheering her on, like Jim the carpentry host.
Jeeah and Jim designed and built a wooden
puzzle together. Jeeah now considers jim to be
a good friend.
Jeeah was also exited to see the badges
that other Kudoers and Hosts earned. The
Adventure Seeker badge inspired Jeeah.
She wants to be more of an adventurer! She
plans to start by exploring hiking trails in her
neighborhood.
Welcome to Dijanah of NZ
This is Dijana – a passionate go-getter,
aspiring aerial artist, and spelunker – who
is currently visiting us from New Zealand.
She loves adventure, has a vision for true
inclusion, and is constantly seeking out new
opportunities for those around her!
There has been a lot of interest in Kudoz from
families in New Zealand, so Dijana is aiming to
get a prototype up and running in Wellington
within the next couple of months. As such,
she has popped over for a visit to get to know
the team and learn all she can about Kudoz.
She’s shadowing our interactions and helping
out wherever needed until the end of March,
so you’ll probably see her around!
One particularly keen future Kiwi Kudoer is
constantly asking Dijana whether she can
go on an experience yet, so Dijana can’t wait
for the day that she can finally open the
catalogue and help this young woman choose
her first Kudoz experience!
