Did you know that only 15% of clothing is recycled or donated yearly? The
rest is disposed. Here's an easy way to reduce our textile waste by making a
reusable bag with materials you may have at home:

Gather Materials
Clothing (pants or shirts)
Ruler
Pen or marker
Scissors
Needle & Thread
Hot Glue (optional)

Measure & Cut

Depending on the type of
clothing you choose, use the
ruler to measure and the
pencil to mark where you
would like to cut.

Sew Together
After cutting your piece of
clothing, use the needle and
thread to sew it back together,
giving it the shape of a bag.

Decorate
Finally, use the remaining of
the fabric to make some
straps to hold the bag. You
could use premade
decorations or make your
own, and sew or glue them

to your bag.

WARNING
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Negligent use of scissors and
needles could cause physical injuries. Unsupervised use of hot glue could
lead to serious burns.
