it.”
Welcome to English Language B2 my dear students, I really hope you enjoy using this
study guide and don´t forget to check out all those extra ideas we´ve put together in
this. English language B2 is where you will be able to read articles and reports
concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt stances or
viewpoints. Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular
interaction with native speakers quite possible. Together with your skills, interest,
and personal touches, you may find a level here where you learn deeper than they
thought possible.

To help the success of the student's learning through the use of this guide, I suggest
the following activities, considering the nature of the subject:
a. Locate the indicated bibliographic sources and organize them in the study
units.
b. Carefully interpret the guidelines for each activity and do what is indicated at
the scheduled times to avoid the accumulation of tasks.
c. Investigate other sources and develop extension activities to consolidate and
improve your knowledge and skills.
d. Perform the tasks according to the modality that the teacher requests.
e. Check what has been learned, carrying out the evaluation activities in each
unit (Actuation 20%, Production TA 20%, Production P 30%, and Accreditation
30%).
f. Check what has been learned, carrying out the evaluation activities in each
unit, if you have any doubts, please ask for academic tutorships according to
the schedule.
g. Develop feedback activities to complete the learning achievement and / or
rectify information.
h. At the end of all the units, check the achievement of the general
objectives of the guide, with the execution of the integrative
evaluation.
3. General information.
The focus of this unit is communication styles. Ss learn about three different
communication styles. In Talking Zone, Eric talks to people about what it
means to be “cool” and we meet Alabny- avloggger who has been
nominated for an award. Sts read a blog post about a bad decision and learn
how to make narratives more interesting before witting their own blog post.
The learning outcome in this period is to read articles and reports concerned with
contemporary problems in which the writers adopt stances or viewpoints. Interact
with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native
speakers quite possible. Write texts highlighting the personal significance of events
and experiences.
We will use digital book, workbook-audio digital book, language app, Richmond
learning platform, controlled practice based on book submitted in eBook of ULEAM
digital library platform, zoom, Microsoft teams platform, videos, virtual room, videos,
power points with recorded audio and other platforms.

2. Read the sill box. Then watch or listen to the first part of a
webshow called Talking Zone. Choose the correct asnwer.
3. Watch and listen again. Check the things the speakers say about
cool.
4. Look at the pictures. Think about which one best matches your
personal definition of “cool”.
5. Watch and listen to the second part of the show and answer the
questions.
