European Standard EN 10204 :1991, including Amendment A l :1995 has the status of a
DIN Standard.
National foreword
This standard has been prepared by ECISS/TC 9. It is based on DIN 50049, with which it conforms in most respects.
The responsible German bodies involved in the preparation of this standard were the Normenausschuß Materialprüfung
(Materials Testing Standards Committee), the Normenausschuß Eisen und Stahl (Steel and Iron Standards Committee)
and the Normenausschuß Nichteisenmetalle (Nonferrous Metals Standards Committee).
Amendments
In comparison with DIN 50049, April 1992 edition, the number of the standard has been changed and Amendment A l
incorporated.

Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be
obtained on application to the Central Secretariat or to any CEN member.
This European Standard exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in
any other language made by translation under the responsibility of a CEN member into its own
language and notified to the Central Secretariat has the same status as the official versions.
CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France,
Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
