Language Analysis Language systems: In this class. students are going to


learn more vocabulary about food and how to express
their preferences.
Language skills: Students are going to practice speaking
and listening.

Aims/Objectives By the end of the session, students will be familiar with


vocabulary related to preferences (likes and dislikes) and
the kind of food they like.
As well as this, by the end of the session, students will
have had the chance to practice pronunciation of the new
lexis and practice speaking using that new vocabulary and
grammar.

Anticipated Problems Potential Solutions

Students may have issues talking to each I could say that they are going to share
other. with us what their partners said, so they
must talk and discuss.

Students could have issues logging into I could already count some extra minutes in
Padlet. case this happens.

Timing

Warm-Up Welcome and greet students. T - Ss


2minutes What’s on your desk?: Ask students to
show you what they have prepared for the
class e.g. a notebook, their pencils, Ss - T
cellphones, etc.
Take advantage of this and tell students T - Ss
that we are going to use Chrome in a few
minutes, so ask them to close any other
page they have open on their laptops.
Presentation Show pictures to students, and ask them to T - Ss PPT slide 1
2.5 min. say what kind of food they see (they’ve Ss - T
seen it before, so this is mainly recycling).
Elicit answers.

1m. Introduce “likes” and “dislikes” by showing T Slide 2

4m Show the pictures one by one while asking T - Ss
