X I Number 1. Seventy-seven is less than X. Can be
X= E written as, correct! 77¿ X and this is an example
-58 I of Inequality equation because it uses inequality
symbol
Number 2. Negative thirty-three is greater that
X. Can be written as, exactly! -33¿ X and this is
an example of Inequality equation because it
uses inequality symbol.
Number 3. X is greater than or equal to Ninety-
six. Can be written as, very good! X≥96 this is
an example of Inequality equation because it
uses inequality symbol.
Number 4. X is equal to negative eighty-eight.
Can be written as, precisely! X=-88 and this is
an example of Equation because it uses equal
sign,
and Number 5. Negative fifty-eight less than or
equal to X. Can be written as, that’s right! -58

As you observed the linking verb “is” in English

can be transform into equal or inequality
symbols. And from this activity you are just
applying your previous lesson in Mathematics on
translating English phrases to mathematical
phrases and English sentences to mathematics
sentences, and vice versa

I hope that you translate each given expression

to correct equation and able to describe them
correctly!
If not don’t worry you have chance to choose it
right by answering 6 to 10 in 1 whole sheet of
paper after which file your answer sheet in your
Mathematics portfolio.

Play the next video and let’s continue answering

your LAS.
