EXERCISE

1. Complete the sentences. Use the present perfect or present perfect continuos:

(¿Podemos ir a una película diferente? Eso ya lo vi.)

(Hasta ahora ha nevado tres veces esta vez.)

(Nuestra maestra ha vivido en cinco países, por lo que no se sorprende por las diferentes

(No encuentro mi diccionario, así que he estado usando el de mi amigo esta semana.)

(Laura está exhausta estos días. Ella ha estado trabajando muy duro recientemente.)

A. Complete the conversation. Use so + adjective + that.

Mia: How was your trip to Ghana?

Daniel: Great! But Ghana has a tropical climate, so it’s hot all the time.
Mia: Really? How hot was it when you were there?
Daniel: It was (1) so hot (that) I didn’t mind taking cold showers every day. It also rained a lot
while I was there.
Mia: How rainy was it?
Daniel: It was (2) so rainy (that) I carried my umbrella everywhere I went. The people in Ghana
were very friendly, thought, so I didn’t mind the weather.
Mia: That’s good. How friendly were they?
Daniel: Many of them were (3) so kind (that) they invited me to their homes for dinner right after
they met me. I ate some wonderful home-cooked meals!
B. Translate into Spanish.

Mia: ¿Cómo fue tu viaje a Ghana?

Daniel: ¡Genial! Pero Ghana tiene un clima tropical, por lo que hace calor todo el tiempo.
Mia: ¿De verdad? ¿Qué tan caliente estaba cuando estuviste allí?
Daniel: Fue (1) tan caliente que no me importaba tomar duchas frías todos los días. También
llovió un mucho mientras estuve allí.
Mia: ¿Qué tan lluviosa estaba?
Daniel: Fue (2) tan lluvioso que llevaba mi paraguas a todos lados. La gente en
Ghana fue muy amigable, pensó, así que no me importó el clima.
Mia: Eso es bueno. ¿Qué tan amistosos fueron?

Daniel: Muchos de ellos eran (3) tan amables que me invitaron a cenar a sus casas. Después de
que me conocieron. ¡Comí maravillosas comidas caseras!
