TEMA N° 1.- EXPRESIONES DE INTERACCION PERSONAL PARA
SALUDAR, DESPEDIRSE E INDICAR BUENOS DESEOS.

There are many expressions, we can use in


different situations. In writing letters we have some particular ones
according to the type of letter it is. There are formal and informal letters.
Let´s start with the parts of a letter:

FORMAL INFORMAL

1.-HEADING: Address and the Date


Address: place where you´re writing a letter
Date : month, day and year.

2.-SALUTATION : Dear Sir. / Madam., My Dear Son,


Miss. / Ms . / Mrs., My Dearest Friend,
Dr. / Professor Mom,

3.-BODY: Message
The message you want to tell. Some useful phrases in a letter:
It is nice to hear from you
Was you are ok.
It will be nice to see you again.
Be with you soon.
I wish to hear from you again.
Hope you are getting along well
You´ll be back soon.
4,.CLOSING: SAY GOOD BYE.
Truly / Sincerely yours Your friend / love / Kisses

5,.SIGNATURE: WRITE YOUR NAME. IN INFORMAL LETTERS ERITE YOUR FULL NAME.

These are some expressions to congratulate people, to express politeness


and good wishes. Phrases for greetings and farewells are also
present. Some of them are:
 Congratulations!
 Enjoy your meal!
 Have a nice trip!
 My best wishes!
 All the best !
 Enjoy your self !
 Have fun!
 Good luck !
 I´ll miss you !
 Have a nice day !

Dear Mr. Thompson:


I am writing to you to wish you the best on this
special day! After all that extra work in Boston, you are
getting your degree today. All of us know that it took a lot
of effort and dedication on your part. I am sure it was
worth it all, knowing that your achievement will make such
a great difference in your career path. Congratulations! I
hope we can meet and celebrate here in Venezuela next
month when you come to visit your parents in Santa Elena.

Love ,

There are many kinds of cards : love, birthday, greetings, farewell and thanks cards.
ACTIVITY
1.-Write in English -a bible verse and explain it.
