CHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCTION OF THE STUDY
It is absolutely phenomenon that energetic and growing industry is event management.
Communities, towns, and regions identifies themselves as tourist destination with the assistance
of event management which implicit the importance of this specific industry. (Getz, 2007). The
experience is an advantage when planning an event, it also appraised that reflecting the time
frame will help in conveying a successful event. The revolt of event management directly
reflects the escalation of events being held worldwide. Dawson and Bassett (2015) pursued to
debate event managers influence the understanding that enlighten them that events expand
success rates through consummate aspect prior.
According to (Jones; 2012) events have expand in a crucially in a scale in recent decade. It is
always advisable that to picture how guest experience will unfold to be in a victorious event.
This dissertation is aiming to enhance the study of event management and dispense new
understanding in event design. The approach that the design is applied can challenge the
society and the industry relationship thus the study illustrates that event design attract more
people from many perspectives. (Berridge, 2006). The entertainment business, events are often
featured in the field of marketing and tourism and have become permanent in both popular and
high culture in that said the events management has emerged the executive and a fast-growing
field of study.
Organizing an excellent event require, event management to be studied thoroughly.
Nevertheless, of various types of events it is significant that the event managers should be
educated and have the relevant qualification (Bladen, 2012:21). Anticipated to the thriving of the
event management, people need professional management of events in several fields and
sectors which is the reason the society has been demanding than ever. (Getz, 2007:2).
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Events played a special role in the society however it is important to look at the background of
the study. There is more than one theory that makes an event management to be successful.
Evaluating an event is considered as one of the main correct approach to find how it was
deemed successful. The most critical aspect is innovation of event success one can attain this
by ensuring that the event design is of high quality and provide attendees with the good
experience. According to (Berridge, 2007) stated that success of an event comes from logistics,
planning as well as management. On the other when evaluating the atmosphere hold great
power on constituting a successful event.
