GUIDELINES ON THE DELIVERY OF CAMPUS MINISTRY SERVICES

A. Online Recollection

BEFORE JOINING A ZOOM MEETING, you will need:

• An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless;

• Headset/earbuds with microphone;
• Webcam – built-in or USB plug-in;
• To find a comfortable and quiet place conducive for the Recollection;
• To wear a decent attire appropriate to the activity;
• To be prompt in attending the Recollection.

*TIP: If you use a headset or earbuds with a mic, be sure to plug those in to your computer
before joining the Zoom meeting.

Note: You do not need a Zoom account to participate in Zoom meetings hosted by your
instructor.

INSTALLING THE APP

If this is your first Zoom meeting on your device (smart phone or tablet, IPAD), download the
Zoom App in App Store or Play Store and run Zoom. For laptops or PC, the Zoom.exe file will
download, and you will need to open the file when you click on the Zoom link provided by the
meeting host.

Please note: this only needs to be done once for any device on which you use Zoom for the
first time. DO THIS IN ADVANCE OF YOUR SCHEDULED MEETING.
JOINING A MEETING

Once set up of ZOOM App is done or once ZOOM installed in your device:
Click the Zoom icon, click Join a Meeting -> enter the Meeting ID and your COMPLETE NAME
-> then click Join -> if you entered the correct Meeting ID, you will be asked to enter the
Passcode -> then Join Meeting. Choose: Join with Video/Audio. Sample screen shots are
provided below:

The link will be sent to you by your CFE Instructors/Class Advisers.

Participants should have already joined the Zoom Meeting before the scheduled time.

Kindly inform your CFE instructor of any concern regarding your participation in the
recollection.

You have an opportunity to test your audio at this point by clicking on “Test Computer Audio.”
Once you are satisfied that your audio works, click on “Join audio by computer.”

You may also join a meeting without clicking on the invitation link by going to join.zoom.us on
any browser and entering the Meeting ID provided by your meeting coordinator/facilitator.
This is a sample screen shot if you are admitted by the facilitator/host of the meeting.

Participant controls in the lower left corner of the Zoom screen:

Using the icons in the lower left corner of the Zoom screen, you can:
• Mute/Unmute your microphone by clicking the icon. With Red slash means it’s OFF (far left)

• Turn on/off camera. With Red slash means it’s OFF (“Start/Stop Video”)
• Invite other participants
• View Participant list – opens a pop-out screen that includes a “Raise Hand” icon that you may
use to raise a virtual hand
• Change your screen name that is seen in the participant list and video window
• Share your screen

During the Recollection please be reminded to:

• Be respectful. Avoid doing unnecessary things that may distract the facilitator or
disturb fellow students;
• Respond when the facilitator calls your name or asks questions;
*Note: Students experiencing problems related to internet connectivity may consult their class
advisers for proper guidance; and

After the Recollection

 Reflect, be nourished, and live God’s message in the mass/activity; and

 Evaluate the Recollection using the Google form to be sent by your CFE Instructors/ Class
Advisers.
