Activity 3a: Look and Learn

Study the given photo. What do you see? Hopefully, you will tell that you see a path going into a
place that looks like the woods or a forest like area.

Imagine that you are going into the place alone. Do you think you would be able to know how to
get into the place without being afraid and being lost? Why yes or why not?

In school, do your teachers know what to teach and how to teach you with your lessons? On your
end, are you able to follow your teachers and learn well? Why yes or why not?

Your answer to the questions will help prepare you for topic 4. And to better answer the
questions, reflect on your lessons in topics 1 and 2.

Imagine that you are going into the place alone. Do you think you would be able to know
how to get into the place without being afraid and being lost? Why yes or why not?

First of all, reassurance can never be estimated. As a learner, it is not new anymore to feel
afraid and feel lost to the things that might be uncertain to us when it comes to our learning
process. Our development doesn’t only depend on ourselves but considering also the people who
will serve as our stepladders to get into the right path we truly belong. As a student, you should
not be afraid to get lost and take risk until you find out what suits you well. Keep trying and
moving but do it with purpose. In the learning process, students are surrounded by different
personnel that composes a school organization that will help them to learn and develop.
Curriculum is essential to make learning outcome be at its best for all the learners. This will
serve as a guide to make the teaching and learning process effective and adaptive for every
learner.

In school, do your teachers know what to teach and how to teach you with your lessons?

Yes, due to the reason that they are duly guided with the curriculum the school had that
they belong. If we say curriculum, this is the intended learning outcomes of a lesson or a lesson
itself. The former implies the chapters and academic content taught I school or college alluding
to the knowledge, skills and competencies student should learn during the study. Teachers must
follow what is indicated in the written and taught curriculum. If we say written curriculum, these
includes lesson plans required from teachers for checking by their school heads to make sure that
the lesson is really planned by the schools intended curriculum. While taught curriculum talks
about the different planned activities which are put into action in the classroom and are
implemented in order to arrive at the objectives or purposes of the of the written curriculum
which are used by the learners with the guidance of the teacher.

On your end, are you able to follow your teachers and learn well? Why yes or why not?

Honestly speaking, my answer would depend on the teaching style of the teacher.
Teachers have their own ways to deliver their lessons but some of it are not so well effective and
adaptive to the part of the students. As a teacher, you should always be versatile and creative.
Know and adapt the different teaching strategies to get your students interest to learn.
