There is a race that takes place every five years. It’s not shown on TV or reported in the
newspapers, but for those who participate, it’s bigger than any other sporting event.
The race is called the Three Mountain Survival Challenge. Teams of four race up and down
three mountains with nothing more than their clothes to help them survive.
The race takes three days to complete. During that time, teams must build shelters, find food,
and try not to get injured.
It’s a tough challenge, so for a team to complete the course, only two team members need to
cross the finish line.
So why is it held every five years? Because it takes people four years to recover from the race!
