COMMUNITY HUB GOALS

• Develop cooperative ties between faith-based


communities, non-profit entities (NGO's) and the
government to respond to a disaster,
catastrophic or significant event.
• Be part of the Distribution Plan of Supplies and
Donations of the Government of PR.

HOW TO ACTIVATE THE HUB...
After a disaster or emergency declaration (state or
federal) FEMA distributes to the State...
• The State receives in the“RSA” (Regional Staging Areas)
• The delivery of the supplies will be coordinated with the
"MACRO HUB".
• MACRO HUB" becomes a Distribution Center.
• The "MACRO HUB" delivers to the "MICRO HUB" (small
entities or POD's)
• The "MICRO HUBs" deliver supplies to the Community...
POD or Point of Distribution = location where emergency
supplies (food, water, donations, supplies, etc.) are to be picked
up after a disaster or significant event.
