Creating Floor
Create a Floor on the 02 – Entry Level
– In the Project Browser, under Floor Plans, double click
02 - Entry Level
– Click Architecture
tab Click Floor
dropdown Floor:
Architectural

Creating Floor on the Lower Floor
In the Property manager, a list of
floor types will be displayed
On Properties palette, select
Generic 150 mm under floor
Make duplicate of the floor by
clicking Edit Type and rename as
Generic 150 mm – Modified
Set the Properties of the wall
Click OK
Click OK

Creating Floor on the Lower Floor
Modify│Create Floor Boundary tab Draw panel Pick
Walls
Position the cursor over a wall and click to select the chain
of walls to form the boundary

On the Mode panel,
click (Finish Edit Mode)
Click No at the prompt.
"Would you like walls that
go up to this floor's level to
attach to its bottom?"

Copy Floor to the Entry Level
Click the edge of the floor to select the element, and on the
Clipboard panel, click (Copy to Clipboard)
Tip
– To make it easier to select the floor, click
the drop-down arrow for the Select panel
on the ribbon, and make sure "Select
elements by face" is checked. Then, place
the cursor over the floor, and click to
select it. Alternatively, place the cursor
near the floor edge, and press Tab until
the status bar indicates the floor, and
click to select it.

Copy Floor to the Entry Level
On the Quick Access Toolbar, click (3D View)
Click Modify│Floors tab
– In the Clipboard panel Paste drop-down Aligned to
Selected Levels

Attach Walls to the Floor
Click to select the interior walls that display in
the underlay for 01 - Lower Level
– Press and hold Ctrl as you click to select
multiple elements
– Note: You may need to turn on Select
Underlay Elements from the dropdown
menu on the Modify Tool

Attach Walls to the Floor
On the Modify│Walls panel click (Attach Top/Base)
Click the new floor to attach the top of the walls on the
lower level to the entry level floor

– Click Architecture tab and select Ceiling

– In the Properties palette
• Put ceiling height = 2600
– Click inside the close boundary areas (rooms)
– Enclosed areas will display
as a red boundary when you
move the curser inside

– Click Architecture tab

– In the Properties palette select 04 – Roof
– Select Basic Roof Generic – Tile Roof in the Properties

Rename roof as Generic - Tile

In the Project Browser, under
Floor Plans, double click 01 -
Lower Level
On the Properties palette, for
Underlay, select None
– Without the underlay
display of the lower level, it
is easier to see the walls for
the current floor
Click Architecture tab Build panel (Door)
Select 720 under Single – Steel Frame (AUS)

Duplicate the door by clicking Edit Type and rename door
as 720 – Modified
Any change
made will now
affect only the
new wall type

Start placing doors on walls
Make sure that you are in the 01 - Lower Level
Move curser to the corresponding wall and click
Edit the dimension as required

Click on the arrows to change
the door opening direction and
door hinging side
The arrow couple parallel to the
wall represents the door hinging
side
The arrows perpendicular to the
wall represents the opening
direction (inside or outside)

– Select the doors you want to copy
– Click Modify│Doors

In the Project Browser, under
Floor Plans, double click 01 -
Lower Level
Click Architecture tab Window
under Build panel
Select 0922 under Awning – 1L
(AUS)

door as 0922 – Modified
Any change made will now
affect only the new wall type
Start placing windows on
walls as required

– For Top Level, select 02 - Entry Level

Draw stairs until 0 risers remaining
Create either straight or U shape stair
On the Mode panel, click (Finish Edit Mode)
