1. General Knowledge and understanding

- General knowledge refers to all areas of awareness that add to our intellect and shows our interest in the matters of the past,
present and future that have bearing on our life and inspires to move a head with an analytically positive mindset. And
understanding is about comprehension its a learning process.

2. Pedagogy

- it is a process of teaching and provide guidelines for planning implementing and evaluating teaching and learning process.

3. Teaching practicum/ Experimental learning

- It is the experience of student to do actual activity with the guidance of the teacher. And emphasizing the importance of learning
by doing.

4. Specialized knowledge/ major courses

knowledge in the organization process.

- is a process where the teacher experience teaching inside the classroom. He/she will manage the classroom delivering and
imparting knowledge to the students.

2. Management of learning.

- The capacity to applied pedagogic strategies that achieve learning outcomes for students. And achieving the objectives
throughout the lesson.

3. Administrative work

- Educational administrators work in school, but not as teachers. They are responsible for overseeing the administrative duties at
schools from preschool through post graduate levels. An educational administrators ensure a safe and productive learning
environment for the students and faculty at their institution.

Activity 1. Research on how the teaching profession practices of China, Japan and United States similar to the
ASEAN

Teaching has traditionally been a well - respected profession in China. Although chinese teachers
salaries are not high, they are stable, particularly in big cities and there are opportunities to supplement
income through tutoring which make the profession attractive to many top candidates. In Japan ,
becoming a public school teacher requires graduating from a ministry approved university teacher
education program and them obtaining a teaching certificate for a particular school level ( primary,
lower secondary or upper secondary) and a particular subject. The United States teacher education
system is tiered. Generally, a high school diploma is needed to teach young children ( ages 2-5) ; a
bachelor degree is required to teach children from kindergarten to 12th grade, and a doctorate has
become mandatory for teaching at the college oe university level.

Explain the meaning of each of the following quotations:

1. “Growth is an evidence of life.”

- Growth is evidence of existence, its because you cant be alive if you dont expand. The growth of our bones, muscles, tissues
and cells helps. Therefore, growth should ensure proper nutrition otherwise you wont grow too well and that shows you have life
if you grow. In addition along the growth you have also matured in terms of your perspective in life.

2. Man/ woman is an "unfinished project"

- A professional is an unfinished project which means that he/she should aim to get better and better in
his/her profession. This means that no professional has arrived at a perfect state.

3. " No person has arrived"

- In this context means a state of perfection. This means that no professional has arrived at a perfect
state. This implies that the teacher is expected to continue developing.
