ii. Diameter of tooth pick: ______________

iii. width of a rock: ___________________

iv. Volume of a marble: ______________

v. Volume of a eye drop: _______________

vi. Electronic balance: weight of 1 paper clip:____________________________

vii. Your pulse rate:_____________________________

2. Write down two tips of the use of electronic instruments for precise measurement.

Make sure the batteries are not flatted.

Make sure the unit is correct

3. Write down one tip of using measuring cylinder to measure the volume of irregular objects.

The volume of the object is equal to the volume of water it displaces.

4. How to measure something which is very small?

Add drops of water into a measuring cylinder until the water level reaches the 1cm3 mark. Count
the number of drops added.

Divide 1 cm3 by the number of drops to find the volume of one drop of water.

5. What is the advantage of using data logger to take readings?

Measurements are always taken at the right time.

Graphs and tables of results can be produced automatically by the data logging software.

Mistakes are not made in reading the results. Humans can make errors.
