I. OBJECTIVES Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be
followed and if needed, additional lessons exercise and redial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies.
These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable
children to find significance and joy in learning the lesson. Weekly objectives shall derive from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates an understanding in the repairing/retrofitting domestic refrigeration unit.

B. Performance Standard The learners independently perform repairing and retrofitting domestic refrigeration unit.
C. Learning At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
Competencies/Objective 1. Identify the steps in brazing a copper tube..
s Write the code for each
2. Follow safety precautionary measures in brazing a copper tube.
3. Recognize the importance of following the steps and guidelines in brazing a copper tube.
4. Perform proper procedure in brazing a copper tube.
II. CONTENT Content is what the lesson is all about it pertain to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach in the CG, the content can be tackled
in the/ a week or two
LO 3:
Perform retrofitting process on copper tube by brazing.
III. LEARNING List of Materials to be used in the different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and in the learning.
Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept
RESOURCES development.

IV. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that the students will learn well. Always be guided by
demonstrating of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by
providing students with multiple ways to learn new thing, practice their learning processes and draw conclusions about what they learned in
relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge indicate the time allotment for each step.
A. Reviewing previous lesson The learners will have a recall based on the previous topic/activity about the parts and the uses of gauge
presenting the new lesson manifold.

B. Establishing a purpose for Motivation: CONNECT THE SHAPE! (Board work) 1 representative per table.
the lesson The teacher will let the students answer the challenge. The learners will work out with the activity that leads
to the presentation of topic.

The teacher will introduce the lesson and state the learning objectives.
Indicator 6: Maintained learning environments that promote fairness, respect, and care to encourage learning.
C. Presenting examples / Pre-Test.

D. Discussing new concepts Presenting of vocabulary words. (burrs, torch, solidifies)
and practicing new skills Conversion the melting point of brazing alloy on Degree Celsius and Degree Fahrenheit.
#1 Indicator 2: Used a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement in literacy and numeracy skills

Presentation and Discussion of Lesson about the procedures in brazing a copper tube.

Let the learners watch localized video about brazing a copper tube to gain better understanding of the lesson.
Guide Questions:
1. Name the materials that are used in the video.
2. What safety measures do we need before brazing a copper tube?
3. What will happen if the torch flame is improper?
Indicator 1: Applied knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas (Science-transfer of heat)
Indicator 4: Displayed proficient use of Mother Tongue, Filipino and English to facilitate teaching and learning.
E. Discussing new concepts
and practicing new skills
#2
F. Developing mastery Answer Self Check
( Leads to formative assessment 3) ACTIVITY: True of False
Direction: Make thumbs up when the statement is true, and thumbs down when the statement is false.

1. Prepare the materials needed and don’t use PPE.

2. Cut the copper tube at any length.
3. Do not clean the tube end and inside surface fitting.
4. Assemble the tube fittings.
5. Sweep the flame back and forth along the axis of the assembled joint and do not maintain uniform heat in
both parts.

Indicator 5: Established safe and secure learning environments to enhance learning through the consistent implementation
of policies, guidelines and procedures.
A. Making generalization Analysis:
and Abstractions about 1. Why is it important to perform brazing copper tubes?
the lessons 2. Why is it necessary to follow the proper procedures in brazing a copper tube?
Indicator 3: Applied a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and creative thinking, as well as other higher-order
thinking skills.
Generalization:
1. Brazing is ideal for joining small work piece at a faster rate. In refrigeration and air conditioning it is also
used to create and access valve.
2. Following the proper procedure will preserve the unit and its efficacy to produce quality work, thus
preventing unwanted damages.
