Activity: Imagine you are asked to design and build a land or community of your own. You could create a
place you’ve dreamed of visiting (like a distant planet), a fictional place you imagined (like a movie, book,
or video game)

Answer the following questions:

● What kind of community will you create? A very peaceful and productive place
● What is the name of the community? The Mars Society of Peace and Freedom
● What is a story or theme that takes place in this world? (If you’re stuck think about a theme park like
Disneyland) Happiness because the world is filled with happiness all around the world
● What do you imagine happening in this world/ community?Everyone working together and
productively and peacefully
● How do you want this world/ community to make people feel? I want people to feel inspired, hopeful,
happy and cooperative

Answer the following questions:

Think of one of your favorite stories…it could be from a book, movie, play, game or anything else.

● In a few words, what is the story really about? The story is about sticking together as family and whatever happens
fight for your family
● What is the main lesson or take-away from the story? I can never let any obstacles get in the way for me protecting
my family and friends
● What emotions and feelings did it create in you? Sadness, Happiness and Unity
● My story is the story of GTA San Andreas

Return to the community you were imagining in the previous exercise.

● What do you imagine it feels like to be in your community? Happiness and accomplishment
● What do you imagine people might learn when visiting your community? That there is peace
● What do you want them to think about after leaving your community? That this was an awesome and productive
place

Activity: Start a rough draft of a map for your own land/ community. Don’t worry if you don’t have the
whole land planned out yet. You can leave a lot of blanks for future ideas. Focus more on the style of your
map, what it looks and feels like. Insert a digital or a physical drawing of the layout of your community
here:
**Below is an example of a map of Pirate’s Lair. It contains the key attractions, walkways and important
structures. Notice how the theme of the land (adventure, discovery and danger) is reflected in the layout and
design (treasure map style with winding paths, unknown areas and hints of danger)**
