2. SUMMARY STATEMENT

In my stays at Ethiopian Civil Service University Department of Urban

Development Studies (technology faculty, engineering), I was found to be
dedicated, patient, highly communicative, confident and hard worker. I was one
of the top performing students of the department with very good CGPA and
thesis on case study “The impacts of land management in the implementation of
structural plan” from the department.
Similarly at the Oromia Regional Government I have performed different Rural-
Urban Linkage Studies in different cities and at the bureau level, I was one of
the best performers (technical, professional and consulting workers) in land
management, project planning, monitoring and evaluation, Asset Management
Plan and Engineering Capacity Building Programs (ecbp). In addition I have
been working on capacity building for urban good governance, in development
programs in regional and federal level especially Interim Financial Reporting
Systems, Procurement plan, and public participation in project planning,
monitoring and evaluation system. Hence that is why the Regional Bureau of
Works and Urban Development gave me a chance to enjoy scholarship abroad.
During my master degree study in Petersburg State Transport University, I was
also one of the top performing, communicative, disciplined students and
graduated with very great distinction.
Finally in my stay at Ethiopian Railway Corporation I have been working
dedicated as project manager in sub-section4 of Dire Dawa-Dewanle railway
project remotest zone of the line. I also was working on position of team leader
Operational Planning & Control until I joined this Chinese Railway Operation
and Maintenance Company.

General: In my experience while working at city administrations I have developed

the land information systems well, land management and legal issues concerning
urban land management system.
Additionally, when working at regional level, I have acquired the trainings,
workshops and seminars on Urban Governance and infrastructure development
program organized by Ministry of works and Urban Development in collaboration
with the World Bank and GtZ group. The program aimed at capacity building for
system establishment in city administration of the 19 major cities in the country.
When I joined the Railway Company Ihave been involving ind different
professional capacity building training for different design soft ware training,
system establishment and I have been the coordinator for establishing Rail
Regulator Body under Federal Ministry of Transport to lead and regulate the
railway sector.
