This is Meg. She lives in New York, USA. She’s got a big family. Her mother’s
name is Mary, her father’s name is Ben. Meg has got a sister and two brothers –
Nelly, Carl and Peter. Meg’s mother has got a brother, Richard. Meg’s father has
got a sister, Christine. Meg’s father’s parents are Nick and Julia. Meg’s mother’s
parents are Nicol and Nick.
Meg is good at playing snowballs. But she isn’t good at doing puzzles.
The girl goes to school from Monday to Friday. She likes Art and P.E.
She’s good at painting and running. Her favourite subject is Chinese. She loves
reading books in Chinese and speaking Chinese. But the girl hates Maths. She’s not good at
calculating. At school Meg has to wear a green and black uniform. She has to have 5 lessons every
day but she doesn’t have to have lunch at school, she can go home.
Meg helps her parents every day. In the morning she takes her dog Buster for a walk at
quarter to seven. At ten to three Meg helps her father to wash the car. They use a bucket because
they want to save water. The girl helps her mum to cook dinner at half past four. Before dinner she
usually lays the table. After dinner Meg always washes up at half past seven. She never dries the
dishes, her sister does it. Meg feeds her dog at half past six. On Saturday when Meg doesn’t go to
school, she tidies up. She puts all her toys in the box and all her books in the bookcase. She sweeps
and mops the floor. Then she goes shopping with her mum at ten past twelve, after her mother’s
favourite film.
