1) Why did Rizal and Del Pilar fight during their stay in Europe?

During their stay in Europe, Rizal and Del Pilar fight because Del Pilar had become the owner of La

Solidardad and had taken the place of Graciano Lopez Jaen as its publisher. The editorial strategy of La

Solidaridad under Del Pilar's leadership enhanced the cleavage between Rizal and Del Pilar. Rizal and his

close friends objected to the editorial policy of the newspaper, which was occasionally contrary to Rizal's

political views. It was decided at the meeting that the representative, Responsible, would be chosen to

manage the Filipino reform campaigns, and the vote took place during the first week of February of that

year. It was determined that the 'Responsible' had to be chosen by a two-thirds majority of the

participants. Rizal won the election, but his votes fell short of the two-thirds vote needed to be declared

Responsible.

2) How did Rizal honor the GomBurZa in El Filibusterismo?

To honor to the GomBurZa, Dr.Jose Rizal, the national hero who dedicated his novel El Filibusterismo

to their memory. And according to the Spanish Military Tribunal, they were suspected to have been part

of a covert campaign aimed at overthrowing the Spanish Government, rendering them a threat to the

Spanish clergy. The Spanish authorities persuaded as a witness to testify against the three priests who

were convicted of inciting violence and treason, which led to their death by the garrote. Their deaths

awakened the fire that's been burning inside the native Filipino people (Indios) for over 300 years of

abuse and slavery. El Filibusterismo aims to enlighten the society and bringing the Filipinos closer to the

truth.
