ENG-102 (Assignment# 3)
ENG-102 (Assignment# 3)
Submission Date:
08-04-2021
Once my mother walked out the door to go to her school, said: “If you have
time, try to clean the house this afternoon." I was, heading down, concentrating on
breakfast, grunts in reply, “Uh-huh.” To the mother’s dismay, the house remained
untouched when she returned home. I, when confronted by my angry mother, excused
my lack of action with the explanation, “You said ‘if I had time,’ and I was busy doing
my assignments all day.”
Another incident happens when my last assignment was physiology. But due to
an electrical problem, I was not able to submit it. I asked my teacher to extend some
time. My teacher said “Do you able to submit your assignment to me Wednesday if they
are electricity tonight?” and I replied: “Yeah, I will.” My sir said “Great” and assumed
that I agreed that the assignment will be completed and submit in tonight’s mail. While I
thought that he was agreed that the assignment should submit to him by Wednesday if
the problem resolves tonight. This is a simple example of miscommunication.
Once my cousin told me that I went to the library, the book which I needed was
present on the higher shelf, so my friend asked me to stand on a stool to reach the book.”
I just got confused and couldn’t figure out why anyone would stand on a stool. I had a
standoff for a moment, but then suddenly remember that it is not used as a medical term
here. Because in medical terms “stool” meant something you get samples of.
