EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Liquid Lounge Bar is a startup resto bar located at Rizal Street, Mati Davao

Oriental. Liquid Lounge Bar will be a unique gathering place right in heart of Mati City. By

providing exemplary service, a vast selection of beer and wines and award winning food in

a relaxed comfortable setting. The Liquid Lounge Bar will be the premier bar that “the

locals” go to in Mati City.

The success of the bar is in its owner Mr. Ares Riego, who has experience in

bartending as he holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management graduated from a

premier school in Davao City.

 DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS

Although people will gather to socialize in bars, just as they have for hundreds of

years, other factors have come into play for the industry as well. Problems with driving while

intoxicated have changed the drinking patterns of people in the Philippines. The growing

concern with health and fitness towards the end of the 20 th century took its toll on the bar

industry. Keeping tabs on this industry requires a look at the alcoholic beverage industry as a

whole—what people buy in the store doesn’t differ much from what they buy in a bar.

Liquid Lounge Bar will occupy wide facility suited for a resto bar located in a

neighborhood shopping center known as ER Mall. The property address is Rizal Street, Mati City

Davao Oriental, Liguid Lounge Bar will provide a soft, quiet environment for its patrons. The

furnishings are comprised of leather appointed chairs and small booths throughout the bar.

These items were obtained at various local auctions and although not entirely matching, lend

an oclecne look to the cocktail lounge area. The walls are adorned with a hodgepodge

collection of memorabilia from the local area. The bar will have a small central stage and

provide the site for musicians and open mic nights on the week.

In order for Liquid Lounge Bar to begin operations, Php 1 million is required.

P500,000 is from personal savings of the owner and another P500,000 from loans. These

funds will allow Liquid Lounge Bar to initiate the following:

 Purchase of cooking equipment, utensils, foodstuffs, portable storage containers,

and supplies.

 Conduct tenant leasehold improvements to the facility

 Furnish the Resto Bar

 Hire personnel to run the business

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

 Liquid Lounge Bar will offer a broad and deep variety beers and wines which will

appeal the public’s ever changing and increasingly more sophisticated demands for variety

in beer and wine. The bar will also offer a full service liquor bar. Patrons desiring food will

not be disappointed by the bar’s food offering either. Traditional bar foods such as nachos,

potato skins, and calamari along with the local favorites of grilled peanuts, chicharon

bulaklak, kinilaw, and sizzling foods. Dining patrons will also enjoy his daily specials

including freshly caught fish.

The kitchen will close at 8 pm, but patrons will still have the option of easily

prepared foods, that the bartender can microwave or easily throw into the deep fryer. On

Friday and Saturday nights, Mati’s Band will provide live entertainment performed by local

musicians. A cover charge will be applied to patrons to cover the band expenses. The bands

will be responsible for setup and tear down all equipment.
