While we’re in the process of completely updating ourselves as a “company”


we’re considering updating our COVID-19 safety requirements by completely
removing all restrictions. We believe that with the amount of vaccinations and
decrease in COVID cases we’re able to do so safely. However, we haven’t
come to a decision yet, therefore, our current safety requirements are still in
place.

*NEW* Enrollments are over for the academic year. We’re now gearing towards
the next academic year. More information on Borrow-It distributions and
everything we’re doing to prepare or “#geartowards” is @
eipedu.net/geartowards
*NEW* EIP Weekly Newsletter is coming to an end. The last production date is
undecided as of now but since Markell is resigning the newsletter will be
discontinued and updates will only be published to social media.

*NEW* Our audio announcements will be discontinued as of July 2, 2021.

*NEW* We’re bringing “AFK mode” to EIP’s online services. Instead of asking
to leave your computer just activate AFK mode. Your class and tutor will be
notified and your camera grid will disappear as if you’ve left the class. Your mic
will also be muted, automatically, in case you forget. You’re limited to 2 a day
and 8 a week, any after will be submitted for account moderation. Your
account can be disabled and not reactivated without refund if our moderation
process approves it.

Beginning June 24, Visitors are welcome back into the office.

In our “Annual Meeting for Community Members” we discussed the future of


EIPedu. New services plans and tiers were suggested. We’re opening 20 more
jobs next academic year and we’re bringing back an old-time EIP-er. Also
announced was Markell’s resignation. Markell’s complete resignation letter can
be viewed on Twitter and Facebook.

STAFF ONLY: Staff Training began June 1. Please see the schedule for your
assigned days, times, and room (remote team, of course, won’t report to a
room). Recently announced VESE will not be offered for the first two weeks
and last three weeks of training. You’ll be compensated $7.25/hr on top of
your Summer Pay benefit (new hires will be paid $14.50+$7.25 for each hour
they’re in training)

Summer Pay, it’s a thing! All FT-Perm team members will receive “Summer Pay”
weekly for dates falling on or in between May 7 and August 27. You’ll be paid
at your base pay rate for 32.5 hours. The new pay-scale will be used but if you
move up on the scale during the Summer Pay period you won’t receive any
raised pay until September 3. Retro pay will not be paid. Only team members
rehired for 2021-2022 are eligible for Summer Pay.
We have PAST DUE days until April 30, the end of the 2020-2021 academic
year. There’s 67 days until August 30, the first day of the 2021-2022 academic
year.
