MULTIMEDIA RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

FOR STUDENTS:
 Students are required to wear their Id and School uniform during online classes in the morning or in the
afternoon. Overseas students may wear smart casual clothes if uniform and id are not available. 
 Students shall appear well-groomed during their online classes. 
 Students shall have the gadget ready like laptop, IPad, or cell phone for the online class with their
charger available at their side and check the online connectivity. 
  Students shall attend online classes on time. Attendance will be checked diligently by the subject
teacher/adviser before the start of each session: 
o Meeting Ids and Class Codes will be given by the subject teachers ahead of time. 
o  Virtual Classes/meetings will be opened at the exact time of the subject. 
o Students will be given at least 5 minutes to enter the Meeting Room/Virtual Classroom. Failure
to join the Virtual Class/Meeting Room within the allotted time or beyond 5 minutes will be
considered tardy. 
o  Students must secure a virtual excuse letter or video message to the subject teacher for a
recorded tardiness or absence. 
o Planned absences must be communicated to the affected subject teachers ahead of time. 

  Students must observe the following during online classes: 


o Mute microphone when not allowed to speak yet. I
o Observe courteous greetings in the morning or before the start of the online classes. 
o Tactfulness should be observed always. Never comment rude and harsh words during online
classes with the teacher or classmate. The teacher in charge shall call the attention of the students
misbehaving during online classes for counseling and other form of reprimand. 
o Students shall focus on the teacher's discussion and comment with grace and courtesy after the
discussion. Participate actively in class recitation and collaborative work. 
o v. Students entering late with prior consent from the subject teacher shall join to class discretely
to avoid interruption of the on-going class. 
o The Online classes shall be executed productively and with life and animation especially for
subjects that need more detailed and elaborated explanations. 

FOR PARENTS:

 Parents play a crucial role in the engagement of children to an effective Distance Online Learning. 
 Parents shall provide a small working space at home that is conducive for their child’s online learning. 
 Parents shall provide the materials and tools needed for their child’s online learning: 

o Laptop: - Preferably Windows 7, 8 or 10, i-series processor capable of multi window/tab


functions, compatible with Zoom and other educational platforms. I
o Mac – iOS latest version, capable of running Zoom other educational platforms. 
o Tablet/iPad and Mobile phones – Latest OS/Processor capable of running Zoom other
educational platforms. (Good only for communication purposes but not advisable for activities
that would require the use of the actual keyboard. 
o  Parents shall follow the school’s policy in requesting for appointments. Parents may contact the
Human Resource Officer for any school- related concerns. The HR officer will be the one to
endorse the parents to the proper office depending on the concern.
