Medical Air Plant

Supply, install, test and commissioning of Medical Air plant,
capacity at least 1440 L/min @ 4bar , using at least three number
of compressor, screw air compressors . each compressor 11kw,
each Medical compressor with capacity minimum 1440 lit/min
-the plant must have EMC certified and complies to ISO 60601 and
HTM06-01 section 11 (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) each
compressor will be IE3 rated one on duty and one on stand by
according to HTM02-01, ISO 14971, ISO 13485:2003, EN
46001:1997.
The Medical Air Plant shall fully comply to Medical Device Directory
93/42/EEC, and to the requirements of both C11 and HTM 02-
01.and European Pharmacopoeia
The Plant will have duplex dryers, filter assembly,2x 500 lt. steel
receiver vessels, installed and connected.
The price includes a constant downstream pressure, primer and
epoxy coated regulating system, to reduce the pressure to around
1.1 7 bars, with pressure switches and pressure gages and tested No. 1
complete with control panel, electric connections, and accessories.
After coolers with water separator sets, including supporting
structure and frame, selected by the Plant manufacturer.
Two air dryer sets, one stand-by, composed of pre filters, carbon
prefilters, bacteria filters, for medical compressed air.
Each Dryer shall be suitable for the total compressors rate. The
duplexed filter and dryer module shall incorporate high efficiency
oil coalescing filters, heatless regenerative desiccant dryers,
impregnated activated carbon filters and bacterial filters. The
performance of the filters shall be according to below specifications
• Oil coalescing high efficiency filter: mass efficiency of 99,92%,
tested according to ISO 8573-2 & ISO 12500-1;
• Activated carbon filter: max remaining total oil content of 0,003
mg/m3 tested according to ISO 8573-5 & ISO12500-2; • Bacterial
filter: particle count efficiency of 99,98% at MPPS=0.06µm, tested
according to ISO 12500-3.

Vacuum Plant:
Supply, install, test and commissioning of Medical duplex rotary
van vacuum pumps, composed of 2 pumps , oil lubricated, each on
4KW air-cooled; oil lubricated rotary vane type suitable for both
continuous and frequent start/stop operation at nominal inlet
vacuum levels of between 475 mmHg and 650 mmHg. Each vacuum
pump shall be provided with an oil mist eliminator delivering a
virtually oil-free exhaust
Pumps are factory pre-assembled and tested, with 1000Lt. vacuum
vessel.
each one of the pump shall be capable to produce vacuum to
evacuate the flow rate of970L/min @-450 mmhg .
The medical vacuum plant shall be designed to fully conform to the
requirements of the UK National Health Service Model Engineering
specification C11 and Health Technical Memorandum 02-01and
C11

The central control system shall provide an intelligent human
machine interface incorporating on board flash memory and real-
time clock for recording operational parameters in the in-built
event log. The central control system shall operate at low voltage
and include BMS connection for common fault. Visualization of
plant inputs, outputs and status through a web browser, using a
simple Ethernet connection shall be available.
The central control unit shall incorporate a user friendly high-
definition color display with clear pictograms and LED indicators,
providing easy access to system operational information.

Cascading of vacuum pumps shall be achieved by measuring the
vacuum level at the plant inlet with a pressure transducer. A
mechanical back-up facility shall ensure continued operation in the
event of a control system malfunction. The control system shall
normally employ automatic rotation of the lead pump to maximize
pump life and ensure even wear.
A duplex arrangement of bacteria filters shall be provided,
incorporating high efficiency filter elements.
Each filter shall be generously sized to carry the full plant design
flow capacity with a pressure drop not exceeding 22 mbar (16.5
mmHg). Bacteria Filter elements shall have penetration levels not
exceeding 0.005% when tested by the sodium flame method in
accordance with BS 3928:1969 utilizing particles in the 0.02 to 2
micron size range. Each filter shall be provided with a differential
pressure gauge. A drain flask shall be connected to each filter
two vacuum vessel volume shall be at least 100% of the plant
capacity in 1 minute in terms of free air aspired at normal working
pressure
The vacuum pumps shall be of proven reliability and shall be driven
by Electric motors to class IE3 and noise level tested to BS 4999.
The pressure vessel shall be constructed and tested to EN 286 or BS
5169/1975 class 3 grade E.
All electric works are factory pre-wired in a weather cabinet, and
includes 2 vacuum switches for automatic start/stop operation,
automatic electric alternator, 2 vacuum gauges, three phase
overload protection and under voltage release,
unit mounted hour meter, hand-off-automatic selector switches,
control circuit transformer.
The control panel and electric installations shall conform to the
latest IEE regulations and starters are to BS 4941. The price includes
duplex bacteria filters.
The price includes all interconnecting pipes, valves, instruments
between the equipment within the vacuum plant room limits.
The plant shall be capable of suction of 1570 liters/min. free air, at

Pressure Switches. • Pressure transmitters monitor both banks of
cylinders. • Set to 12 bar changeover pressure (0-315 bar typically /
0-160 bar N2O) normally open and normally closed operation. •
3.1 Line pressure shall be continuously monitored by an electronic No. 1
pressure sensors; mechanically actuated pressure switches are not
acceptable. • There shall be a manual changeover button to enable
selection of the duty bank. • Manifold shall be capable of being
fully isolated via a full flow ball valve in order to change any
regulator without interruption of supply. • In the event of a low
line pressure condition, both solenoid valves shall open to enable
both banks to deliver gas and restore normal pipeline pressure. •
System should incorporate graphical display to indicate pressure in
each bank of cylinders and a line pressure. Digital display should be
backed up by mechanical gauges in case of power failure.
• All alarms should be duplicated on a display and embedded
membrane panel with LEDs. A manifold status panel shall be
provided with color coded LED indication lights for the following
operating and fault indications:

Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Medical Gas
Equipment in accordance to HTM-20-22 inclusive of all
appurtenances for complete operating system as per below

Materials of the tubes are phosphorus deoxidized, non arsenical

accordance with BS 2871 Part 1,
Table X or Table Y and or BS EN 1412:1996 grade and manufactured
to outside diameters in accordance with BS EN 1057:1996 R250
4 (half-hard).
Tubes are cleaned and degreased for oxygen service and free of
particulate matter and toxic residues.
They are delivered to site individually capped at both ends to
prevent the ingress of air and specially packed.
Medical Quality Copper Tubes are complied to ISO 7396:2002
(Pipelines for compressed medical gases and vacuum),
HTM 02-01 and HTM 02-01 (Health Technical Memorandum for
Medical Gas Installations No: 2022) and C11 (Good Practice Guide
for Medical Gas Equipment.

Modules are designed to provide local isolation of individual
sections of the central gas and vacuum piping system in the
hospital, clinical or laboratory facility. Isolation may be required for

BED HEAD UNITS
Bed Head Units are used to provide all necessary facilities for
patient need in wards or similar areas, such as Medical Gas Services
electrical lighting, Nurse communication in an architecturally
attractive unit as well as to hide pipes cables and all infrastructure
to provide above services. Europe brand
Cover of the Bed Head Unit will easily be taken off or re-located by
push-click system. The body of the Bedhead Unit will also be easily
assembled on the mounting rails with the same mechanism. Bed
head unit shall have multi compartments for electrical cables,
control/low current cables and medical gases with independent
access.
Bed Head Units are designed and manufactured incompliance with
MDD 93/42/EC, BS EN ISO 14971:2009, ISO 9001:2008, ISO
13485:2003, EN 793, EN 980, HTM 2022, HTM 2015 and HTM 02-01
standards. All electrical connections of the units are made in
7 compliance with IEE norm. And accessories all as specified as
below.
All the gas outlets on the Bedhead Units must conform to
BS:5682:1998, ISO 9170:2008, ISO 9001:2008 and EN 737-9 norms
and according to the norms of Medical Device Directory 93/42/EEC.
The Q-click material, easily assembled and disassembled by hand
without using any tools and thus without interrupting hospital gas
flow during maintenance without any need to shut-off valves. The
gas terminal units will pass the pressure tests and connected to
medical copper piping network of the hospital.
Lights supplied as integrated in the Bed Head Unit body and are
covered by an easily removable prismatic plastic part.
The electrical sockets (230 v/ 16 A) must be BS standard. The bead
head unit is made up of extruded aluminum Trunking, painted with
epoxy coated powder, pre-wired, pre-piped and tested, ready for
the wall installation. Minimum aluminum thickness of 1,8mm, with
high efficiency LED lighting or Neon T5, separation between gas and
