What does the literature/research say about this issue/topic? By using NAU
Library or Online Search engines, conduct a literature review.
 You need to include 5 different sources (book, journal article, web article
etc.) in your review. Try to use current sources as much as possible.

Literature Review:
“The Distance Learning (DL), also referred to as distance education, e-learning,
and online learning, represents an education approach which occurs when the
professors and students are separated by space and time. (Todri, et al. 2021).”
Distance learning has now become an integral part of school learning due to
covid-19. The advantages and disadvantages can be almost evenly matched.
Distance learning allows people to continue learning from anywhere. This
flexibility fosters growth in one’s profession at their own pace. “In order to
establish various categories of graduate, under-graduate, technical, vocational
and training courses via internet, distance learning made it possible to attend the
categories at any time and in anywhere. (Debes, pg.2, 2021)” However in the
same light, distance learning has shed insight on a few problems. Students need
to be responsible and independent learners in order for distance learning to be a
successful option for them. The absence of an in-person teacher guiding them
and holding them accountable can be felt in both participation and academic
progress. “It turns that distance learning is difficult for the students. The most
important problem lies in abilities of students to manage their studies. Part of
students is unable to plan a well-proportioned schedule for learning (Fojtik,
pg.14, 2018).” Another difficulty that lies with distance learning, is the social-
emotional well-being of the student. For many students, school was the most
consistency they had in a day. With distance learning it is harder to be there to
support students emotionally. “For many students, their experiences in school —
both with the school’s environment and with adults and other students — create
a sense of safety and support. Distance learning can represent a loss for those
students, especially for those who are navigating adversity at home or in their
broader communities (Pate C., 2020)”. Despite some of these setbacks, distance
learning has proven to be successful for some. “From the pedagogical point of
