A ’There is/ There are’ szerkezet

A there is / there are + fővnév szerkezetet akkor használjuk, ha határozatlan alany létezését akarjuk
állítani, tagadni vagy róla kérdezni.

pl.:There is a boy here.  Van itt egy fiú.

There aren’t people in the street.  Nincsenek emberek az utcán.
Are there books on the table?  Vannak könyvek az asztalon?
Yes, there are.  Igen, vannak.
No, there aren’t.  Nem, nincsenek.

Prepositions – Elöljárószók

Az angolban a magyar nyelvre jellemző határozóragok és névutók helyett elöljárószókat használunk.
