Last February Sue went to the Alps for a winter holiday.
She went skiing for the first time in her life. She enjoyed her holiday very much. There was a lot of
snow and the mountains looked wonderful.
When she was back at work her colleagues asked her a lot of questions.

 Where did you spend your holiday?  We went to Chamonix.


 Who did you go with?  With my friends.
 How did you go?  By plane.
 Where did you stay?  We stayed at a small hotel.
 How long did you stay there?  Ten days.
 What did you buy in Chamonix?  I bought a pair of skis.
 I had skiing lessons every morning.
 How did you learn to ski?
 We ate fondue every day. I liked it.
 What special food did you eat?
 I took a pair of ski boots, a ski suit, a pair
 What things did you take for skiing? of gloves, warm socks, a warm hat and a

She bought a lot of postcards and a painting of the sea. She also took some photos of the old houses in
Cornwall and she saw the ’First and Last House in England’ in Land’s End.
She drank a pint of beer in the ’First and Last Pub in England’.
She enjoyed her holiday very much.
