SIP 4th WEEK PROGRESS REPORT

NAME: NS VIGNESH KUMAR


ROLL:NO: C04/059
Date: 3105/2021

Work area: Assembly Line section


During this week I have studied and recorded each and every activity that is carried in the
entire workstation from 1 to 6.
I have broken down all the activities step by step in every workstation.
Workstation 1 - Cover Sealing ASSY (Assembly) sequence.

1. Taking cover from RHS which is covered in a wrapper.


2. Placing it in a seal pressing machine
3. The plastic wrapper is collected in a bag placed nearby.
4. Taking seal from the left-hand side (reach max)
5. Seal is placed over the cover entirely (time consumption high)
6. Pressing the start button to operate automatic seal pressing machine (machine runs
and auto off)
7. Then taking the duct from the Right corner side
8. Fitting it tightly in the cover
9. Then taking the drain tube from the left corner
10. Dipping in the industry oil placed in the rhs (Oil is placed right corner reach max
and oil is spilling)
11. Fitting the tube to the cover
12. Picking the white pencil (placed Infront of the workmen)
13. Then star marking with the white pencil on the start of the seal
14. Then checking the whole part
15. Placing it in the conveyor which is in LHS for next stage
Workstation 2 Case sealing ASSY sequence: (whether to join both the part or inserting
separately)
1. Taking case from the RHS
2. Placing it in the sealing pressing jig
3. Taking seal from the rhs
4. Placing it in the case properly
5. Pressing the start button with both the hands of the machine
6. Pressing and releasing the valve with both the hands to stop the sealing machine
7. Taking the case out from the machine
8. Taking pipe drain from lhs
9. Taking clip from the left corner side
10. Joining both the parts
11. Dipped in the oil which is kept in front of workmen
12. Fitting the part (drain tube and clip) in a respected direction in the case
13. Checking the whole part thoroughly mainly the direction of placing tube and clip
14. Placing it in the conveyor which is in LHS for next stage

Workstation 3 Assy with case, Element on cover and Cemedine apply on groove
1. Case is picked from the LHS from the conveyor
2. Picking the connector from rhs top of the table
3. Joining the connector with the case tightly and firmly
4. Picking the cemedine which is place in the right side of the table
5. Applying the cemdine through all joint of the connector and case.
6. Then placing the cemedine bottle to its original place
7. Checking the whole part of the case and its joint with the connector
8. Placing the case in the conveyor which is in left side
9. Picking up the cover in the left hand from the conveyor from lhs
10. Picking the element material which is in the right top corner
11. Placing the element material inside the cover at the right area
12. Placing it in the conveyor in the left side for next stages

Workstation 4 Screw Sequence using screw tightening jig


1. Picking the case from LHS of the conveyor and checking it.
2. Placing it in the screwing machine
3. Picking element filter from the RHS box
4. Checking the element whether the guard plate is rightly fixed.
5. Placing the element material above the case in the machine
6. Picking the cover from the LHS of the conveyor and checking it.
7. Placing the cover above the element in the machine
8. Picking up 6 screws and nuts from the LHS of the table
9. Hold the Screw Gun from the right hand.9
10. Screwing is done one by one in the specific order (6 screws)
11. Then checking the whole part whether the part is completely screwed and fixed
12. Placing the part in the conveyor for next stages

Workstation 5 Quality inspection (100% quality check)


1. Picking the full part from the conveyor from RHS
2. Checking the whole part visually
3. Placing it in the Quality jig system
4. Pressing the start button with both hands
5. Looking into the display for any error readings
6. Taking the part out from the system
7. Visually checking and Marking with white pencil on all the areas (dot and screws
and direction of clip and tube)
8. Place the part on table nearby
9. Pick the stamp from the stamp pad, by right hand
10. Dipping it in the ink which is placed in the right-hand side
11. Mark the stamp on part Specific area. (Serial or part number)
12. Placing the 100 % perfect part for the last quality check on the LHS of the table

Workstation 6 Pre delivery Inspection PDI (200% quality check)


1. Picking the part from RHS by both the hands
2. Visually checking the whole product
3. Marking with the white pencil at all specific areas
4. Placing the part down in the table
5. Picking plastic bag from the left corner side from the left hand
6. Taking the 200% checked part in the right hand
7. Packing the part in that plastic wrapper
8. Keeping it in the table after wrapped
9. Taking the bin by walking 1 to 2 meters.
10. Keeping the bin nearby the table
11. Picking the product and placing it in the bin.
Upcoming week (5th week) I will note down all the timings for each and every activity in
the workstation from 1 to 6
