Sub: Clarification for my Student Visa Application rejection

Dear Sir/Madam,

With regards to the refusal of the Study permit application lodged on 17 th December
2016, I would like to provide clarifications for the concerns you may have regarding my
qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities
or your future prospects and plans.

My student visa was rejected on the following grounds.

Other reasons: Your proposed studies are not reasonable in the light of one or more
of your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment,
language abilities or your future prospects and plans.

Regarding my qualifications and previous studies: Throughout my academics, I have

maintained reasonably good grades with 86.2%, 67.4%, 67.8% respectively for my 10 th,
12th and Bachelors (Cochin University of Science and Technology). After my 12 th standard
I joined for Common Entrance Engineering Coaching for one year to attain admission to
top colleges in my state, in the mean time I also utilized to appear for improvement of 3
core subjects for 12th standard as my training for Engineering Entrance was on these
subjects. This explains an extra grade sheet for my 12 th standard.

I have a history of only 2 re sits and 1 improvement in my entire Bachelor Degree which
I duly cleared in the very next attempt. As University has a provision of providing only a
consolidated grade card for each semester, Due to this difficulty I have submitted the
mark sheet copies from University Website which clearly has the history of my
academics.

Regarding my employment: After completing Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and

Communication Engineering, I was campus recruited to Oracle Financial Services
Software Limited and worked in the capacity of Associate Consultant in Banking
Software Products division for 2.8 years. I was tasked with duties of Software
Development, Software Testing and Software Product Support of Banking software. As
my experience was in Banking Software development and testing, later I joined in RAK
BANK, a leading Nationalized bank in United Arab Emirates. I worked as Central
Operation Representative. I was involved in Software Testing of Back office Software
Systems and in performing day to day activities in Bank’s Core Banking Software

Regarding my Level of Establishment:  Soon after I graduated, I was campus recruited

to the Banking Products division of Oracle (Oracle Financial Services Software Limited)
which is the second largest software company in the World. I was working in the
capacity of Associate Consultant and was drawing a yearly salary of INR 3, 44,706 (CAD
6894). As a progression to my career, later I joined RAK Bank (National Bank of Ras Al
Khaimah) a leading nationalized bank in United Arab Emirates. I worked a Central
Operations Representative drawing a yearly salary of INR 1,36,8960 (CAD 27,379)
annually. Apart from that, my wife is working as a graduate Electrical Engineer in Middle
East for the past 2 years. My mother is a Retired teacher with more than 25 years of
teaching experience in a Government aided school in INDIA. My father was working as
Mechanical Draughtsman in Middle East for the past 27 years and now looking after
family agriculture. I have also attached net worth certificate of INR 2,22,26,966 which is
equal to CAD 436056.

Regarding my Language Abilities: I have achieved overall band score of 7.5 with
Listening 7.5, Reading 7.5, Writing 6.0 and Speaking 8.0 which is well above the
minimum requirements.

Regarding my Travel History:

I have travelled multiple times between United Arab Emirates and India during my
tenure as a worker there. I am attaching my old passport and present passport with visa
and stamping along with the application, which will clearly demonstrate that I have at
most respect to the visa regulation and never overstayed or disregard one.

Regarding my Future Prospects & Plans: I would like to gain in-depth understanding of
Software Testing methods and concepts would help me attain a senior level position in
Software and associated field. From experience and research I understand that software
industry is expanding day by day, there is a high need of highly qualified and
experienced people and so the job prospects are very high. Having worked in the
software testing domain for the last few years I realized that I lack expertise and skill
sets in the following areas like Automated Testing, Security Testing and Coding for
Testing which is very well dealt in my proposed course in Canada. I am sure that the
proposed Post Graduation course which I have selected will provide me deep
understanding in Software Testing concepts in the finest level which would help me to
position myself as Senior Test Engineer , Quality Assurance officer , Quality Assurance
Specialist , Application Tester for employment with globally renowned companies across
the globe including my home country

Yours faithfully
